It is relatively easy. Embassy number:(202) 537-3100.
You may need to apply for visa to the consulate responsible for your region.
I applied to the New York office, which has a strange name, trade mission or
something. The girl there was pretty helpful. I got the visa within a week.
Generally you need a copy of round-trip ticket, and an invitation letter.
It may be different if you are a tourist.
